Marcellus UMC Vision Statement
We are a community seeking God’s direction for discipleship. We are called to support one another, help people beyond our doors meet their spiritual and material needs, teach and share with others the lessons of our Christian faith, and intentionally glorify God through a variety of worship expressions.

Support one another by:
Visiting the sick and homebound
Praying for the church and its people
Offering personal assistance
Accepting diversity and building one another up
Help people beyond our doors meet their spiritual and material needs by:
Facilitating mission experiences
Inviting people to worship and church activities
Participating in ecumenical events
Communicating effectively in a variety of ways
Teach and share with others the lessons of our Christian faith by:
Presenting a variety of small group learning opportunities
Offering Sunday School classes for all ages
Providing strong leadership for education
Encouraging activities to apply lessons learned
Intentionally glorify God through a variety of worship expressions by:
Integrating a broad range of music styles
Utilizing laity of all ages
Appreciating that God speaks to people differently
Theming worship to be relevant to daily life
Inspiring worshippers to share Christ’s love with others
